The Story Behind the Author

By day, I live in the corporate world, a devoted mother of two and a loving wife (mostly!).

By night, I am a deep thinker and a dreamer, the kind who couldn’t stop her wild imagination if she tried.

When I read, I love nothing more than to enter a place that is not of this world, beautiful and captivating, dark and dangerous; all that you want, and definitely all that you shouldn’t. To be dropped into chaos and swept out by love.

I have devoured fantasy book after fantasy book for as long as I can remember, and have wished for as long, to write a novel of my own. I have dreamt of stories I could write day and night, whether my mind should be concentrating or has full reign to wander has made little difference!

Finally, unbelievably… I have.

Writing has been incredible. Entirely wild and wonderful. It has bought about a passion and a joy in times of true challenge. Watching the stories of my mind turn into something that feels so real. A world that had lurked only behind my eyes, bought to life on pages I wrote.

For some time, it has been just the story and I, living here in a bubble of awe, and as terrified (and I mean TERRIFIED) as I am to burst it, I just know that now is the time.
